Fall colors in Texas

(my front door, decked out for fall)

I love to visit The Retirement Chronicles to see beautiful pictures of Michigan. The fall colors are amazing. But of course, it is also fall here in Texas! So today I set out to find some fall colors for you, dear readers.

why thank you!

You are most welcome. Here's what I found:

those are pretty colors but they don't look very fall-ish.

Oh, so we're going to be picky today? How about this?

well, that's a little better. don't you have any colorful trees?

Sheesh. Let me walk a little farther - oh, there's one!!

where are the colors?

Right in the middle! See the yellow and orange?

you painted those splotches yourself.

Yeah well.

we're gonna go look at those michigan pictures now.

Ok. Just keep in mind ... when fall is over in Michigan ... the next step is this:

I complain a lot, but I do love Texas!

Thanks so much for the shout out, Lesley! Yes, you are SOOOO right about the snow coming in Michigan. In fact, we already got some, but it melted. Not to worry, you will see my whine in my blog when we are buried up to our necks soon. Although those snow pictures are pretty, too. ha
We really did have a beautiful autumn up here this year, but we got a very hard frost about a week ago and it killed that...it turned many of the leaves brown before they turned bright orange and yellow. So now our color season has ended and many of the trees have dropped their leaves already.
I will be wanting some of your Texas sun very soon...!!
Again thanks for the shout out, and I invite any/all of your readers to stop by my blog anytime to look at my photography. I would LOVE that.

I LOVE that last picture! Of course, the older I get, the happier I am to see spring...

call that autumn colours? Bah!
I like your wreath, is it home-made?

I don't know who that reader is who gave you all that back-chat in italics, but I wouldn't stand for it if I were you.

Lily: You like the LAST picture? That's supposed to be the BAD one! LOL

Friko: I know, pathetic. We get no colors here. My wreath is pathetic too. Plastic. From Walmart. But it looks good from a distance.

Fran: I know, that was rude wasn't it? That's my evil twin who sits on my shoulder and whispers in my ear. I really need to get rid of her.

Christmas contest

We're having an office decorating contest at work! With prizes! So in my usual quirky way, I'm being as competitive as possible. ...
