(count me. i dare ya.)
Insomnia:
The inability to sleep.
Symptoms:
Waking up at random times during the night for absolutely no reason, and then finally getting out of bed at 5 a.m. just like my dad used to do when he was like 80 years old even though I would kindly tell him just go back to bed for pete's sake, what the heck is wrong with you.
Causes:
1. For other people - getting old.
2. For me - the stress of my extremely demanding job, which is not all that extreme or demanding but clearly #1 cannot possibly apply, so there you have it.
Treatment:
Warm bath
Warm milk
Relaxing music
Boring movies
Counting sheep
Darned if I know. Any suggestions?

I sympathise. I keep waking at 5, which is just too early to feel like I've slept enough but too late to go back to sleep again. I read.
please visit me back.,., and follow me back.,., :)
Bruce: Thanks for the helpful suggestion! I can always count on you.
Fran: I read, too. Or sometimes I watch movies, which never fail to put me to sleep at 8 pm but do absolutely nothing for me at 5 am. Go figure.
Kotag: I'll follow you to the ends of the earth.
Oh girl, I know this too well and still haven't got the remedy down. Sometimes a glass of red wine helps, but wouldn't want you to go Alkie on me:) So I'll recommend you to use melatonin half an hour before you sleep or the valerian root always helps. hugs!
